He is survived by: his wife Jane Grubb Starling; his children, Jessica Allene Starling (Chris), Charles Wesley Starling (Sydney) and Robert Alan Starling (Madeline); his siblings, Frank Starling Jr. (Celia) and Emily Dickens (Richard); his brothers-in-law, Johnny Sink, Steven Grubb (Maxine), Tim Grubb and Troy Grubb; his grandchildren, Stephen Alan Dube, Joshua Bradley Dube, Odin Clay Starling and Edward Alan Starling; and his great grandchild Harper Sage Dube. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and finally, unofficially adopted children and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Paul United Methodist Church (330 Church St, Wytheville, VA 24382).
